Oracle valuation rating among big technology and cloud firms, Digi Mart USA News: Oracle Corp. (ORCL) received the best valuation rating on a valuation basis among seven major technology and cloud computing firms, as investors remained cautious after a steep selloff in artificial intelligence equities.
Oracle scored a B rating, while IBM and Amazon received D ratings. Apple, Meta Platforms, Alphabet and Microsoft all received F scores.
The rating assesses stock prices compared with firm fundamentals, with higher grades indicating more favorable valuations according to the methodology.
Oracle shares were up 2.5% in premarket trading Friday as AI and semiconductor sectors attempted to rebound from losses on Thursday. Other big technology stocks were mixed, with Meta and Alphabet each climbing 0.4%, while Amazon slipped 1% and Microsoft slid 1.5%.
The valuation gap reflects how investors are pricing key cloud and technology businesses despite uncertainty about spending on AI infrastructure. A better relative valuation rating does not necessarily mean Oracle carries less risk.
The company still faces large data-center investment needs and doubts about how much return those projects will deliver. The next trigger, the report said, will be whether the IT sector rebound continues and investors re-rate Oracle based on its capital investment and earnings projections.
