GTA 6 early access and release timing, Digi Mart USA News: After more than a decade of waiting, gamers will finally get to play Grand Theft Auto VI in just a few weeks. The game officially comes out on November 19, 2026, but fans eager to play sooner are looking for ways to get in early.
Some reviewers are reportedly already playing the game ahead of their coverage, which is expected to be published alongside the release. The embargo for GTA 6 reviews lifts one day before the release date, on November 18.
Some reviewers received their codes late last month, and more are going out to gaming and tech news outlets over the next couple of weeks.
For the average consumer, there is no early access for GTA 6. However, players who pre-order the digital version will be able to download the game starting November 10, nine days before its release.
The game will remain locked until November 19.
The download is reportedly 212 GB, which could take hours to install depending on internet speed. By pre-ordering, players will have the game ready to play on their console at midnight local time on November 19, allowing them to start the moment it is officially released.
Some players have discussed changing their console region settings to New Zealand and connecting through a VPN to play on November 18, roughly 18 hours earlier. This approach is not endorsed here, and the publisher article does not confirm whether it would work reliably.
