Maeva Ghennam appeal trial for misleading commercial practices, Digi Mart USA News (Paris, France): Roughly a year after her conviction at first instance, French influencer Maeva Ghennam is due to face the justice system on Friday, November 6, in her appeal trial for misleading commercial practices. The case returns to court, this time before the court of appeal.

On Friday, November 6, the 29-year-old influencer is scheduled to appear before French justice. She is being tried on appeal for misleading commercial practices.

At the first trial, held on Friday, October 10, 2025, before the 31st correctional chamber of the Paris judicial court, she was sentenced to one year in prison, suspended, and fined 150,000 euros. She appealed the decision.

In this case, Maeva Ghennam is accused of promoting beauty products by touting misleading aesthetic results. However, she is currently barred from leaving Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and therefore will not be able to attend her appeal trial.

“No one kept me informed.” In October 2025, the young woman said she had not been aware that a judgment had been issued against her in France. “No one kept me informed.

Yet the Directorate General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF) has been in contact with me. We discussed several times by email.

Nevertheless, I learned on the internet that I had a judgment,” Maeva Ghennam said in an Instagram story.

“As you know, I cannot leave Dubai. I am stuck here, between my problems in Dubai, and now I have some in France,” she added.

Ghennam is also implicated in a fight with a former friend that took place at a party in Dubai. The altercation was captured by surveillance cameras.

Summoned by Dubai police, both women were subject to a travel ban imposed by Emirati authorities.
