CDMX 2027 alcaldía polling differences Coyoacán Cuauhtémoc Benito Juárez, Digi Mart USA News (Mexico City): MetaMetrics surveyed 13 Mexico City boroughs from October 23 to 28, 2026, finding narrow gaps between Morena and PAN in Cuauhtémoc and Coyoacán and wider gaps in Benito Juárez and Iztapalapa.

Mexico City will not elect a head of government in 2027, but it will elect 16 borough mayors, 66 local deputies and 204 council seats, according to the National Electoral Institute (INE). Party organization and candidate selection rules are among the issues parties are tracking.

The survey was published on October 30, 2026. It used digital questionnaires with 750 respondents in each of the 13 boroughs.

Polls should be read borough by borough rather than as a single citywide contest.

In Benito Juárez, the study recorded 45.8% for PAN and 25.9% for Morena. In Álvaro Obregón, it reported 34.1% for Morena and 28.7% for PAN.

In Azcapotzalco, the figures were 42.7% for Morena and 21.6% for PAN.

The pollster also said the differences between Morena and PAN were small in Coyoacán and Cuauhtémoc. The size of those differences should be checked in the detailed breakdown, along with the margin of error and collection method, before describing the state of each race.

The survey included party preference as well as questions about different candidate profiles, but the publisher notes that internal consultations are not direct head-to-head matchups between parties.

In Benito Juárez, debate centers on the administration led by Luis Mendoza, its service and security policies, and the possible continuity of PAN projects. In Coyoacán, parties are reviewing territorial leadership and urban service management; in Cuauhtémoc, relations among the local government, Congress and party groups are part of the public agenda.

For the other boroughs, the article suggests following local government actions, budget decisions and documented public service figures, in addition to candidacies.

The Mexico City Electoral Institute publishes reports and documents related to electoral polls. Readers should review the technical sheets, who commissioned each poll and fieldwork dates to distinguish data from editorial opinion.

The survey was conducted through digital questionnaires and may differ in coverage from face-to-face or telephone polls. Results depend on question wording, alliances considered and names included.

Candidacies must be formally registered according to the electoral authorities’ calendar, and these opinion results reflect only the period in which responses were collected.
