Il faut de NOUS pour faire un monde France 4 Nicky Doll Brazil documentary, Digi Mart USA News: France 4 opens its evening on Tuesday, November 3, at 9:00 p.m. with “Il faut de NOUS pour faire un monde,” a two-part documentary series presented by Karl Sanchez, better known by his drag name Nicky Doll.

The first episode takes viewers to Brazil to meet people who live their differences with pride.

Rather than treating diversity as a theoretical subject, the series focuses on skin color, body type, disability and gender identity through immersion and encounters, often in people’s homes. Nicky Doll gives the floor to individuals who turn their singularity into a strength.

The documentary favors listening and extended time over an overarching commentary.

In Brazil, the storyline moves through several worlds: samba and its moving bodies, Indigenous rap that carries the voices of first peoples, Paralympic sport and the local drag scene. Each shows a way of asserting one’s place in society and pushing back against imposed labels.

The vast and contrasting country provides a setting for observing how difference is lived and shown openly.

Karl Sanchez, known for his work in the drag world, brings the question of difference and acceptance into his artistic practice. His presence gives the documentary a natural quality and an immediate rapport with the people he meets, who speak openly.

Directed by Maxime Donzel, who co-wrote the series with Sanchez, the program consists of two 52-minute episodes. The second installment, broadcast right after in the late evening, continues the exploration in South Africa, where art, activism and nature become forms of resistance and reconciliation.

The series avoids a miserabilist tone. The people filmed are not reduced to their difficulties; they are shown through their creativity, humor and energy.

Samba, sport and the stage become spaces of emancipation where everyone can exist fully in their own way.

The approach fits France 4’s public service mission, which alternates youth programming with cultural offerings. By entrusting the journey to a well-known personality such as Nicky Doll, the channel aims for an embodied and accessible perspective that could reach a broad audience beyond its usual circles.

The first episode covers Brazil as a field of exploration, from samba to Paralympic sport; the local drag scene and Indigenous rap as two ways of asserting a voice; encounters in people’s homes away from tourist clichés; and a positive tone shaped by Nicky Doll’s view of diversity.

“Il faut de NOUS pour faire un monde” (Brazil episode) airs Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. on France 4 and on france.tv.

It consists of two 52-minute episodes presented by Karl Sanchez (Nicky Doll) and directed by Maxime Donzel; the South Africa installment follows in the second part of the evening.
