Unilever Mexico National Logistics Award supply chain innovation, Digi Mart USA News (Mexico): Unilever Mexico won the National Logistics Award in the Company category for a project designed to address one of the main logistics challenges in Mexico: building connected operations that can anticipate deviations, optimize processes and maintain service continuity through digital transformation tools.

According to the company, the project is based on Real Time Logistics and LUCIA, two technology ecosystems that integrate operational information and artificial intelligence (AI) to strengthen supply chain management, improve operational efficiency and anticipate risks.

The company, described as a pioneer in integrating AI into its logistics, explained that Real Time Logistics consolidates information from different processes, from transportation and logistics to customer service, on a single platform with continuous monitoring and a unified source of operational data.

LUCIA, meanwhile, is an AI agent that analyzes data and identifies risks in real time, with the goal of alerting teams to possible deviations and ensuring that products are on store shelves on time.

Both tools operate under a “Human + AI” model, in which technology complements the experience and judgment of teams. AI processes information and detects patterns more quickly, while people remain central to interpreting results and making decisions.

The National Logistics Award, the Tameme Trophy, is granted by #SoyLogístico Asociación. Regina Montes, Logistics Director at Unilever Mexico, said: “For Unilever, artificial intelligence and data create value when they strengthen the judgment of teams and enable more effective decisions.

This recognition is the result of our vision to build a more resilient, efficient supply chain prepared to respond to market needs.”

The award was evaluated by a jury of 18 representatives from chambers and associations, public sector bodies including the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation, as well as the private sector and academic institutions.

All jurors recognized initiatives that encourage innovation, operational excellence, talent development and sustainability in the sector.

Juan Arriegue, Operations Director at Unilever Mexico, said: “With these actions, Unilever positions itself as a leader in the evolution of the industry, demonstrating that the synergy of digital transformation with human capital will translate into concrete improvements in operational efficiency and sustainability, particularly in supply chains that require coordination among multiple areas and actors.”
