Trenzatón 2026 Toluca hair donation and free wigs, Digi Mart USA News (Toluca, Estado de México): The Trenzatón 2026 hair donation event will take place on November 17, starting at 9:30 a.m., at the Parque Metropolitano Bicentenario in Toluca. The event is organized by the Sistema para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia del Estado de México (DIFEM), which will distribute 85 oncology wigs.

The initiative aims to support people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatments, while also providing care to patients, family members and caregivers. Karina Labastida Sotelo, director general of DIFEM, said a registration desk will be set up for those who need an oncology wig.

Trained stylists will also be on site to perform hair cuts for donation, styling and wig fitting.

The event will offer mammograms, tests for the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), general medical consultations, dental care, vaccinations and rapid tests for glucose, triglycerides and cholesterol. Psychological care, nutritional diagnosis, chiropractic services and a memory clinic will also be available.

Additional services include makeup workshops, mini aesthetic treatments and microblading for eyebrow pigmentation. Families may also access functional aids, reading glasses, legal advice, guidance on HortaDIF gardens and recreational activities focused on the rights of children and adolescents.

Participants who wish to donate hair must meet several requirements. Children need hair at least 10 centimeters long, and adults need at least 20 centimeters.

Straight, wavy, curly, gray or uniformly dyed hair is accepted, provided it is in good condition, without mistreatment, dehydration or layered cuts. Hair should be delivered in a sealed plastic bag, braided or in a ponytail, and secured with elastic bands at both ends.

DIFEM noted that hair donation is accepted year-round. Donations may be made at its central offices on Paseo Colón at Paseo Tollocan, at the Unidad de Procuración de Fondos at Puerto de Palos 211, or at the Ranchito offices at José Vicente Villada 451, all in Toluca.

Donations are also accepted at municipal DIF systems across the State of Mexico. For more information, the publisher lists the phone numbers 722 212 0821 and 722 212 3468.

According to the publisher’s frequently asked questions, cut hair is not required in advance, since stylists will be available at the event. Dyed or gray hair may be donated if it is in good condition, and dyed hair must have a uniform color.

People who have lost hair because of cancer treatment may register with DIFEM to request a free oncology wig.
