Querétaro Mexico-Querétaro train complementary works, Digi Mart USA News (Querétaro, Mexico): The Secretariat of Government of the State of Querétaro reported that it expects to hold a meeting with federal authorities and municipal presidents during November to learn about the progress, characteristics and scope of the complementary works of the Mexico-Querétaro train project.
The meeting will take place in Querétaro and will include representatives of the Agencia de Trenes, the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation, the Secretariat of National Defense, as well as the state government and the municipalities involved. No date has yet been set, but federal authorities committed to notify it during this week, with the intention of holding the meeting in November.
The meeting is expected to present a detailed report on each of the works and provide information related to the projects. Among the works planned is an intervention at the Puente de Los Patos in San Juan del Río, intended to facilitate access to the railway station from federal highway 57.
According to the Secretariat of Government, this work would free up part of the vehicle traffic within the municipality and reduce the load of automobiles heading to the train station.
The agency also reported that socialization of the Calle Invierno project has already begun, a process led by the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation through meetings with specific groups. However, the final project does not yet exist, so its characteristics and scope have not been formally presented.
This information is expected to be delivered at the next meeting with federal authorities.
Once the complete project is available, a public presentation is planned to report on execution timelines, the scope of the works and the mobility operation that will be implemented during the work. Finally, the Secretariat of Government said it maintains coordination with federal authorities to advance the projects and to convey citizen concerns raised in the different sections where the works are taking place.
