Mía Rivera and Uziel Vázquez, two 12-year-old gymnasts, will carry the talent, discipline and pride of their country to the World Trampoline Gymnastics Championships, which will be held from November 9 to 16 in Nanjing, China. Their participation in the international event is the result of years of preparation, effort and dedication, as well as a qualifying process that allowed them to reach one of the biggest challenges of their sporting careers: joining the Mexican national team and competing alongside athletes from around the world.

For Mayor Luis Mendoza, promoting sports and creating opportunities for girls, boys and young people to develop their abilities is a priority. For this reason, the Benito Juárez borough is strengthening its sports facilities and promoting disciplines that contribute to training new generations of athletes.

Mía and Uziel train at the Deportivo Benito Juárez, where they have found the conditions to refine their technique, strengthen their discipline and advance their competitive development. Their story reflects the joint work of athletes, coaches and families who accompany each stage of their preparation.

“We are very proud of you. We know you will play a great role at the World Championships in China.

We are truly delighted. We know you will do great things, we have known you for a long time, we want to see you triumph, thank you very much for representing us and know that you always have all our support,” said Anahí Sánchez Berthely, director of Sports Promotion and Development.

The road to the World Championships has also been a personal growth experience for both athletes. Mía and Uziel highlighted the support they have received from the borough in overcoming each qualifying process and reaching the opportunity to represent Mexico in this international competition.

Both demonstrate that sporting talent can develop from an early age when there is discipline, support and access to suitable training spaces.

The Benito Juárez borough has six sports centers offering various disciplines, with coaches who contribute to the physical, technical and personal development of girls, boys and young people. Through this infrastructure, the government of Luis Mendoza seeks to strengthen sports practice and consolidate the borough as a breeding ground for athletes.

Mía Rivera and Uziel Vázquez are a source of pride for Benito Juárez and for Mexico. Their participation in the World Championships represents an opportunity to demonstrate the results of their effort and to carry the name of their country to an international competition.

The government of Luis Mendoza will continue to promote sports as a tool for development, coexistence and training, supporting new generations so they can achieve their goals and build a future in which Mexican talent continues to stand out inside and outside our borders.
