Plan Michoacán por la Paz y la Justicia progress report, Digi Mart USA News (Ciudad de México): The Government of Mexico reported that the Plan Michoacán por la Paz y la Justicia has reached 67% progress one year after its implementation began. Of more than 2,500 scheduled works and actions, 1,680 have been completed.

Budget execution stands at 61% of the resources allocated for the 2025–2030 period. According to the figures presented, the program includes a total investment of 118 billion pesos for that period, of which approximately 72 billion pesos has been spent.

The balance was presented during the Wednesday morning press conference on November 4, led by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo. It covered the 12 axes of the federal strategy, which is designed to address various needs in Michoacán through interventions in security, education and social development.

The president said the results are part of an ongoing process that requires sustained coordination between government institutions and different sectors of Michoacán society. “We have made progress, of course we still have to keep working.”

On security, Sheinbaum said reductions in high-impact crimes have been recorded, and that communication and collaboration mechanisms with representatives of various social sectors in the state are being maintained to monitor implemented actions.

The president also noted that the program’s evaluation includes education indicators, particularly the number of children and young people enrolled in schools and student continuity between educational levels. This includes monitoring of students moving from secondary to high school and from upper secondary to university, processes that she said have been supported through federal scholarship programs.

Sheinbaum said the institutional presence in Michoacán must be maintained through daily actions and constant communication with residents, both to share results and to identify pending needs. “What matters is that the people of Michoacán know that the Government of Mexico is present in all the municipalities of Michoacán.”

The report covers the first year of execution of the plan, whose schedule extends through 2030 and includes continuation of works, projects and actions across its 12 axes. The overall physical and financial progress percentages were disclosed, but specific figures on crime reduction and disaggregated education indicators mentioned during the conference were not detailed.
