Mexico city mayors approval ranking November 5, 2026, Digi Mart USA News (Mexico): GobernArte has released a new public opinion ranking measuring approval of the heads of government in Mexico’s principal state capitals. The Ranking de Capitales de México, dated November 5, 2026, evaluates 31 mayors and municipal presidents.
According to the publisher’s survey, Ricardo Moreno Bastida, mayor of Toluca in the State of Mexico, ranks first nationally with 70.5% approval. Riult Rivera Gutiérrez of Colima follows with 70.0%.
The first two positions are the only ones above 70% approval, the publisher reports, and the results show significant differences among the administrations evaluated. Moreno Bastida and Rivera Gutiérrez remain the best-positioned profiles in this measurement.
The ranking also groups results by political party, identifying the three best-positioned profiles in each category. A separate classification of women with the highest approval levels places Cecilia Patrón Laviada first at 62.9%, which also places her fourth in the overall national ranking.
Among men, the top three positions in the gender classification also hold the first places in the general ranking, with the governments of Toluca, Colima and Puebla leading the results.
GobernArte says the population surveyed consisted of Mexican residents of each capital city who are of legal age and hold a valid voter ID. Sample selection used Odiseo, an application that incorporates artificial intelligence and considers relevant demographic and geographic factors, and data were collected through digital questionnaires with a stratification system.
The survey was designed, prepared and financed by GobernArte S.C.
