Los Linos extortion gang leader arrested in Ixtapaluca, Digi Mart USA News (Ixtapaluca, Estado de México, Mexico): Federal agents from the Secretaría de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana and the Agencia de Investigación Criminal of the FGR detained Lino ‘N’, alias ‘El Patrón’ or ‘El Señor’, in the municipality of Ixtapaluca, State of Mexico. He is identified as the leader of the criminal group ‘Los Linos’.

Security Secretary Omar García Harfuch said the capture was achieved through intelligence work by the Centro Nacional de Inteligencia within the National Strategy Against Extortion, ordered by President Claudia Sheinbaum. The detainee is identified as one of the main sources of violence in the state of Morelos, where he led operations involving extortion, homicide, retail drug dealing and vehicle theft.

With this arrest, nine members of the criminal structure have now been placed at the disposal of judicial authorities. According to institutional reports, Los Linos maintain operational presence in the municipalities of Cuautla, Emiliano Zapata, Tlaltizapán, Yautepec, Jiutepec and Cuernavaca.

Federal investigations link the group to the international trafficking of cocaine from Central America to U.S. cities including San Antonio, El Paso, Atlanta and North Carolina.

Authorities also associate members with clandestine laboratories in Yautepec producing methamphetamines, where 270 kilograms of chemical precursors were seized in October 2025.

The arrest comes six months after a federal operation on May 6, 2026 in Yautepec, when security forces detained eight alleged members, including Rodolfo Adame Sotelo, alias ‘Don Ramón’, and Carlos Adame Sotelo, brothers of the current detainee. An armed clash during that operation left one attacker dead and two federal agents wounded by gunfire.

Four long guns, five handguns and 24 telephones were seized.

Investigations by the Morelos State Attorney General’s Office attribute earlier armed attacks against security forces to Los Linos. In January 2026, members of the cell shot and killed two criminal investigation agents in Jiutepec.

In November 2025, federal forces also seized a warehouse used to store narcotics in the 13 de Septiembre neighborhood of Yautepec.

Following his capture in Ixtapaluca, Lino ‘N’ was placed at the disposal of the federal Public Ministry prosecutor to determine his legal status. The report is based on a single publisher article and has not been independently verified.
