Inés Gómez Mont’s Children Reportedly in Mexico; Relative Describes Conditions

Inés Gómez Mont detention and children's status in Mexico: Inés Gómez Mont's Children Reportedly in Mexico: A relative of ex-partner Javier Díaz Bravo says the four children from that relationship have reached Mexico and are being cared for, as Gómez Mont remains detained in the United States pending immigration proceedings and Mexico's Attorney General's Office (FGR) pursues three arrest warrants against her.

Inés Gómez Mont, Digi Mart USA News: Following the detention of Inés Gómez Mont in the United States on Friday, October 30, rumors began circulating about the future of her children. No legal resolution has been announced so far, and the television host has been engaged in a long-running custody dispute with her former partner, Javier Díaz Bravo, and his mother, “Tita” Bravo.

Amid questions about the children following her arrest, a person close to the Díaz Bravo family said the children had been moved to Mexico. A relative, Enrique Artemio, said in an interview with the program “Siéntese quien pueda” that the four children Gómez Mont had with Díaz Bravo, including the triplets, are already in Mexican territory.

Artemio said the children had fallen behind in school by two or three years but were now attending classes and were under protective care. He added that the children were continuing their studies, as was the girl.

Gómez Mont has six children in total. Four were born to her relationship with Díaz Bravo, and two, María and Bosco, were born to her second marriage to Víctor Manuel Álvarez Puga.

Those two children were reported to still be living in the United States with their father.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) also detained Álvarez Puga in September 2025.

He later disappeared from the detainee database, and his whereabouts are unknown, though he has a hearing scheduled for November to resolve his legal status.

The couple had been on Interpol red notices since 2021 at the request of Mexican authorities. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said in September that Interpol had withdrawn the alerts and that Mexico would request their reinstatement.

Sheinbaum criticized the decision and called the couple “recognized invoice factories.”

Gómez Mont’s legal team filed a habeas corpus petition seeking her release from the Broward Transitional Center in Pompano Beach, Florida, according to court records. The petition was filed in federal court in Fort Lauderdale.

Reforma reported that one argument cited was that one of her daughters is receiving medical treatment and that transferring Gómez Mont could harm her.

Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office (FGR) said Monday that it had exchanged information with U.S. authorities and delivered three active arrest warrants against Gómez Mont.

One warrant concerns alleged participation in organized crime and operations involving funds of illicit origin, and two concern tax fraud. FGR head Ernestina Godoy said Gómez Mont’s detention in the United States is based on her immigration status and not on a Mexican order, and that the agency would immediately execute the warrants upon her arrival in Mexico if she is deported.

According to the FGR, investigators allege Gómez Mont received illicit funds in personal bank accounts from a scheme diverting public money through shell companies. The funds allegedly came from the Administrative Body for Decentralized Prevention and Social Rehabilitation (OADPRS), which oversees federal prisons, through contracts worth about 2,450 million pesos (roughly US$130.3 million).

The FGR also said she underreported income and omitted more than 13 million pesos (nearly US$691,489) in taxes.

Godoy said these actions were serious and that the funds were meant for prison system security. The decision on whether Gómez Mont is deported to Mexico rests with the United States.
