XV de France, USA News (Marcoussis, France): The French Rugby Federation announced in a statement on Monday morning that two additional players have been forced to withdraw from the upcoming fixture against Fiji on Saturday. This development presents another challenge for head coach Fabien Galthié, who has already had to manage an expanded squad following numerous absences in recent weeks.
Anthony Jelonch suffered a concussion during Toulouse’s away defeat to Section Paloise on Sunday evening, which ended 34-14. Joshua Brennan sustained an injury during the same fixture that concluded the 8th round of the Top 14.
Squad Replacements Called Up
In response to these injuries, La Rochelle player Charles Kante Samba and Lyon player Antoine Deliance have been added to the French squad as replacements for the two Stade Toulousain athletes. Both players are expected to arrive in Marcoussis on Monday to begin preparations for the upcoming Autumn Nations Series fixture.
