Scalextric slot racing championship final in Tarbes, France, Digi Mart USA News (Tarbes, France): On November 7 and 8, the C24T club will open the doors of its headquarters at 4 bis, rue Alphonse-Daudet in Tarbes to motorsport enthusiasts and curious visitors alike. The program features the fourth and final round of the 2026 French Scalextric Championship, dedicated to electric miniature car racing.

Cars run at 1/32 or 1/24 scale, and the spectacle relies on precise driving. Using a manual controller, each competitor must manage acceleration, negotiate corners and seize overtaking opportunities on technical tracks where several cars race simultaneously.

This round features Scalextric models from the 1960s and 1970s, including “Power Sledge” Formula 1 cars and GT prototypes with so-called “shell” bodywork.

For more than twenty years, volunteers at C24T have introduced slot racing to the Hautes-Pyrénées. The club also welcomes newcomers who want to learn the hobby, which demands skill, concentration and technical knowledge.

Members meet every Tuesday afternoon and Friday evening, and some represent the club in various competitions, including CSO and the French Davic Championship, both in France and abroad.

Beyond racing, car preparation plays a major role. Chassis setup, tire selection, engine maintenance and performance optimization require meticulous work.

These skills are passed on and shared among members in a spirit of mutual support.

C24T was recently represented by four members, Patrice and Cédric Pierrat, Stéphane Jacob and Pierre Ehrhard, at the third round of the French Scalextric Championship held in Neuvic on October 17 and 18. Stéphane Jacob and Cédric Pierrat claimed victory, a result the source attributes to careful equipment preparation and race management built on considerable experience.

Within the club, younger racers are also emerging; Aïdélina, Adrian and Benjamin, the club’s “rookies” of the year, are beginning to take top places and step onto podiums.

The weekend of November 7 and 8 will bring together many drivers to test their skills on the Tarbes track. Visitors can see the different car categories, observe preparation work in the pits and talk with competitors.

The event offers insight into the demands of a discipline that sits at the crossroads of motorsport, model building and mechanics. Although the cars are small, performance depends on a combination of adjustments and driver control.

The event is open to all, appealing to motorsport fans, hobby modelers and anyone curious about an original activity.

For C24T, competition is only part of its activity. The club also aims to promote knowledge sharing, the transfer of skills and connections between generations.

In an era when digital leisure occupies a large place, slot racing offers a concrete, hands-on and technical pursuit that brings participants together around a shared passion.

Location: C24T headquarters, 4 bis, rue Alphonse-Daudet, Tarbes. Event: fourth and final round of the 2026 French Scalextric Championship.

Additional information is available on the C24T Facebook page and the Tarbes Tourisme website.
