La France a un incroyable talent prank on Éric Antoine, Digi Mart USA News: According to a report from Voici, the 21st season of La France a un incroyable talent, an adaptation of America’s Got Talent, has resumed auditions since October 7 at the Théâtre de Rueil-Malmaison. Karine Le Marchand returns as host, and the judging panel is unchanged, featuring Éric Antoine, Hélène Ségara, Sugar Sammy and Marianne James.
During the fifth broadcast on Wednesday, November 4, viewers met a new candidate, Noah, a 20-year-old speed painter tasked with drawing a portrait of each judge in record time. After two minutes, the portraits were revealed, and while those of Marianne James, Hélène Ségara and Sugar Sammy were considered accurate, Éric Antoine’s drawing drew general laughter.
Antoine joked that the sketch resembled a child made with comedian François Damiens and asked how long the candidate had been doing this. He also quipped about fraud, adding that he did not believe the act was real.
He had, in fact, been correct: Noah was an actor hired by the jurors and the production team to prank their colleague.
Noah then told Antoine that the other three judges had something to tell him, and Marianne James, Hélène Ségara and Sugar Sammy revealed the prank by saying, “We pranked you!”
The report also notes that Antoine, now in his eleventh year on the panel, has seen three hosts succeed one another: Alex Goude, David Ginola and Karine Le Marchand. Speaking to Puremédias, he said that when M6 first offered him the choice of hosting or judging about ten years ago, he chose to judge, but that if he no longer had anything to contribute as a judge, he would be interested in hosting, so as to remain with the show’s family.
