GTA 6 Xbox pre-download starts at 1 a.m. in France on November 10, Digi Mart USA News (France): According to a publisher report, the digital pre-download of GTA 6 on Xbox Series X and Series S will begin Tuesday, November 10, at 1 a.m. in mainland France.
Rockstar has set a single time for Xbox players worldwide, midnight GMT. On PS5, the download starts at midnight in each time zone, which means in mainland France there is a one-hour gap between the two consoles.
Players who pre-ordered the digital version should check that their Xbox allows automatic updates. Rockstar says the console must remain on or in standby for the download to start without the player being present.
Rockstar also says that physical boxed copies with a code will reach retailers starting November 12.
Regarding storage, Rockstar states that the pre-download may require up to 212 GB of available space, depending on the device. Players preparing a Series S or Series X should check available storage in the console settings.
This figure refers to the space needed for the pre-download; the publisher’s FAQ does not give a final installation size for each Xbox model.
The pre-download allows players to retrieve files in advance. The release date for play remains November 19.
The source also points readers to details on the space required on PS5.
