Championnat de France des Rallyes 2e Division Rallye de l'Indre: The thirteenth round of the French rally championship, held in Argenton-sur-Creuse, is set to be decisive as Jordan Berfa and Tony Cosson battle for the title ahead of the final round in La Rochelle.

Championnat de France des Rallyes 2e Division Rallye de l’Indre, Digi Mart USA News (Argenton-sur-Creuse, France): The thirteenth round of the Championnat de France des Rallyes 2e Division, scheduled for this weekend in Argenton-sur-Creuse, is expected to be decisive in the battle for the title.

Surprisingly, the two drivers contending for the championship have so far met directly only twice, at the Rallye des Vins Mâcon and the Rallye du Pays de Saint-Yrieix. The Rallye Montagne Noire this summer also involved both, but it was halted after a single special stage and cannot really be considered a head-to-head contest.

Heading into the Rallye de l’Indre, Jordan Berfa leads the championship with 161.30 points. Berfa has won at Grasse, Mazamet and Saint-Yrieix this season.

His closest rival, Tony Cosson, has 117.60 points and two wins this season in the championship, at Dieppe and Mâcon.

Tony Cosson and Kévin Millet were victims of a off-road excursion at the Cœur de France rally. They also took part in the Ronde de la Giraglia in a Renault Clio V Rally5 in an effort to earn points, while Jordan Berfa and Benjamin Gary finished second there.

After the Rallye de l’Indre, one more round remains in the championship, the Rallye d’Automne in La Rochelle on November 20–21.

A total of 90 crews are entered for the Rallye de l’Indre. Besides Berfa and Gary in a Lancia Ypsilon Rally2 and Cosson and Millet in a Porsche 992 GT+, only two other entrants are registered to score championship points: Julien Croquet and Valérie Thebault, and Hervé Roux and Manon Doucet, both in Peugeot 106 S16 cars, in the F2/13 and N2 classes respectively.

Among those who could contend for the overall win are Yann Clairay, who recently won the Supercar class in the final round of the Championnat de France de Rallycross, co-driven by Gilles de Turckheim in a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2. Mattéo Chatillon will also compete in a Renault Clio Rally3, co-driven by Amaury Auzou.

The event begins Saturday, November 7 in the morning with three loops of two special stages on the first day, followed the next day by two loops of two special stages.
