Viper Says Bilibili Gaming Did Not Expect 3-0 Win at Worlds

Viper Bilibili Gaming 3-0 Worlds 2026 semifinal interview: In an interview with Inven, BLG's botlaner Viper said he expected a closer series, crediting draft strategy, a calculated risky play and improved communication for the sweep over Dplus KIA ahead of a semifinal against the winner of T1 and Karmine Corp.

Viper Bilibili Gaming 3-0 Worlds 2026 semifinal interview, Digi Mart USA News: Bilibili Gaming (BLG) won its Worlds series 3-0, a result that surprised even the team’s players, according to an interview Viper gave to Inven.

Viper said he had prepared for a 3-1 or even a full five-game series, but the team performed well from the first game. He said the win was largely shaped during champion select, where BLG focused on denying ShowMaker the picks he prefers.

Because BLG started on red side, the team believed a psychological approach during the draft would give it an advantage throughout the series, and Viper said the plan worked. In the first game, BLG used a Cassiopeia flex in the bottom lane and picked Galio to counter Akali, a setup Viper said the team has played frequently since MSI.

The second game featured an aggressive play by Viper, who eliminated the opposing Yunara early at the cost of his own life. He said the team needed an opening for the fight around the Baron area and judged it the only viable option, adding that hesitation would have shifted the game toward the opponent.

Viper also said the team corrected communication problems that had appeared earlier in the tournament. A match against Hanwha Life Esports in the Swiss Stage prompted BLG to refine its river control based on team compositions, while Dplus KIA made several errors, which Viper attributed partly to the unfamiliar Worlds stage.

In the semifinal, BLG will face the winner of the T1 versus Karmine Corp duel. Viper said a win over KC would feel more comfortable, but he expects to face T1.

BLG has beaten every LCK team at Worlds except T1, against which it has never won. “If we face them, it will truly be an honor.

Beating T1 at Worlds is proof of our strength,” he said.

Finally, Viper addressed recent health concerns involving his mother that had worried the community. He said he is well and thanked fans for their support, adding that their messages had brought comfort to him and his family.
