Carlos Rivera vocal cord surgery, Digi Mart USA News: Carlos Rivera is days away from surgery, although the singer had previously said the operation would take place during the second week of November. Journalist Joel O’Farrill recently shared details about a “bleeding” episode that the performer reportedly experienced and that led his doctors to recommend an operation on his vocal cords.

According to O’Farrill, speaking on November 4 on the program hosted by Gustavo Adolfo Infante, “In Carlos’s case, it is a direct injury to the cords. He began to notice because he started bleeding, having a little bleed there.

Obviously they did a review, saw what he had, and gave him an emergency treatment.”

The journalist said the “emergency” treatment was intended to let Rivera rest his vocal cords and avoid surgery, but it did not work. He said the singer was required to stay silent for two weeks, around September to early October, and when his cords were re-examined to see whether the treatment had healed the injury, it had not, and doctors told him surgery was necessary.

O’Farrill said the operation was apparently scheduled for this week and that recovery would probably take three months, adding that he believed Rivera would return to the stage around February. In October, Rivera himself said the surgery would take place in the second week of November and that he would probably resume his activities in early 2027.

In a live Instagram broadcast, Rivera said, “I hope to be back in February with everything, to sing and to do all the concerts we could not do this year, and particularly to return and continue with the tour.”
