France weather warm spell mid-November 2026 temperatures up to 25 degrees Celsius, Digi Mart USA News (France): Winter temperatures have barely arrived before the mercury is climbing again. La Chaîne météo has announced a spell of “great mildness” on its X account beginning next week, from Monday, November 9 to Sunday, November 15.
The days of Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be marked by temperatures that are particularly high for November. La Chaîne météo even envisions temperatures reaching 23 degrees Celsius in the southwest, which would be 10 degrees above seasonal norms.
The website Tamétéo.com predicts temperatures of up to 25 degrees in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and the Landes. The mercury could also exceed 20 degrees more broadly across the rest of mainland France.
According to the site, the rise in temperatures is largely due to the arrival of an “air mass from Africa.” There is a caveat, however: this week of abnormally high temperatures is also expected to be rainy.
Tamétéo.com explains that low pressure systems over the Azores and the nearby Atlantic should eventually shift over the country. As a result, precipitation is expected to increase over the course of the coming week.
Rain gear will therefore remain necessary, particularly in the southeast quarter of the country.
