Hammarby vs Elfsborg Allsvenskan match delay, Digi Mart USA News (Stockholm, Sweden): The start of the match between Hammarby and Elfsborg was postponed by fifteen minutes. The delay came in an important top-of-the-table Allsvenskan fixture at 3 Arena.

Thick smoke from pyrotechnics hung over the stadium before kickoff. As a result, the players remained in the tunnels instead of walking onto the pitch with the match mascots.

The new start time was later announced as 19:15.

Shortly before the restart, the players jogged back onto the pitch to warm up again. Children had formed a guard of honour in a corridor, applauding the players as they stepped onto the field.

John Guidetti commented on the situation to TV4. “I have never seen this before.

But I think it is good, it is creative. You find a solution and do what is best for the players,” he said.

Guidetti added that the arrangement gave the children an experience they would remember, while also keeping the players warm. “It is impressive from Allsvenskan and everyone involved, nice to see,” he said.
