Toulouse Stadium Under Heavy Security for High-Risk Match Against Strasbourg

Toulouse Strasbourg Stadium security restrictions: The prefecture of Haute-Garonne has imposed strict measures for Friday's match between Toulouse FC and Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace, classified as high-risk by the national hooliganism unit. Movement and parking bans, a perimeter around the city center, and transport changes are in place.

Toulouse Strasbourg Stadium security restrictions, Digi Mart USA News (Toulouse, France): The tension will rise another notch this Friday, November 6, at the Stadium in Toulouse for the visit of Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace. The match, with kickoff at 8:45 p.m., has been officially classified as “high-risk” by the French National Division for the Fight Against Hooliganism (DNLH).

This classification prompted the prefect of Haute-Garonne to impose drastic supervisory measures starting at midday. From Friday noon until 8 a.m.

Saturday, anyone identifying as a Strasbourg supporter is strictly prohibited from traveling or parking within a large perimeter covering Toulouse’s city center and the areas surrounding the stadium. Only fans holding an official ticket issued by the club and seated in the designated visitor section will be permitted to attend the match.

The use of firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices is also banned throughout the zone.

The measures reflect a history between the two sides. In November 2023, a similar order was issued when the Alsatians visited, following violent clashes between groups of ultras near Matabiau station a few months earlier.

The stadium has also seen other tense moments during visits by rival clubs, prompting the prefecture to act decisively to prevent any risk of disorder in the city.

Beyond security, supporters of both teams will need to plan their travel carefully. The Pierre-de-Coubertin bridge will be fully closed from 5:45 p.m., reopen temporarily at kickoff, then close again 15 minutes before the match ends for evacuation.

To ease these constraints, the Poudrerie footbridge is accessible again, and the Tisséo network will increase the frequency of metro lines A and B, trams and stadium shuttle buses. Gates are scheduled to open at 6:45 p.m.
