Delstern carpet store closing clearance sale Hagen, Digi Mart USA News (Hagen, Germany): Customers can save considerably at a long-established store in Hagen that is closing its doors. The business is offering up to 50 percent off its stock, and shoppers are advised to act quickly.

The Teppichboden-Markt Delstern in Hagen has announced its closure. The clearance sale runs until mid-December, allowing customers to buy carpets, carpet flooring and coverings at reduced prices.

The store’s departure marks the end of a traditional business in the Delstern district of Hagen.

According to owner Alexander Lamik, speaking to wa.de, no specific end date has been set yet. He said the sale is expected to end in mid-December, and the market aims to sell all of its stock by then.

“That is going well, we are satisfied,” Lamik said, adding that the date could theoretically be moved forward depending on demand, which he described as very good at present.

The store describes itself on its website as the largest carpet warehouse stock sale in Hagen. Offers include up to 50 percent discount on all stocked carpets, carpet flooring and coverings.

The market is located at Delsterner Strasse 114, where it has operated for more than 25 years. Lamik said the property owner did not extend the lease.

He said the specialty shop had not had an easy time in recent years and that the workload for him as owner had become simply too great.

The business was formerly known as Teppich Specht and was founded in 1934. The Specht family developed it into a well-known address in Hagen.

From 1953 until the early 2000s it was located at Elberfelder Strasse 30a in the city center before moving to Delsterner Strasse. What will happen to the building in the future remains open.

Clearance sales are no longer rare in North Rhine-Westphalia due to retail closures. Traditional businesses in Schwerte and Mettingen have also had to close, leading to similar sales of their goods.
