According to the source, the Secretariat said investigators link him to the killing of Milton Morales Figueroa, a security official who died in an armed attack on July 21, 2024. Federal authorities said they will continue investigations to locate other alleged members of the Cártel Nuevo Imperio and identify the criminal networks linked to its operations.
