PAN lawmakers call for migration alert against Guadalupe Taddei and suppliers, Digi Mart USA News (Mexico): Federal deputies Federico Döring and Paulina Rubio have demanded that federal prosecutor Ernestina Godoy begin the process to declare a migration alert against former INE president Guadalupe Taddei and the Hernández Casillas brothers. The lawmakers want the alert so that the individuals cannot leave the country and can face justice over alleged irregularities in contracts and procurement.
Döring said that in Morena “it is acceptable to steal, what is not acceptable is getting caught, and every time they are caught, the same thing happens.” He accused Godoy and President Claudia Sheinbaum of looking the other way and giving those involved time to flee the country.
Döring recalled similar cases, including that of Hernán Bermúdez Requena, leader of La Barredora during Adán Augusto’s time as governor of Tabasco. He also cited Farías Laguna, who he said fled to Buenos Aires, as well as Amílcar Olán, who allegedly went to Switzerland, and Raúl Rocha, who he said went to Monaco and Monte Carlo.
He warned that the same could happen with Taddei and the Hernández Casillas brothers.
Paulina Rubio reiterated the National Action Party’s call for the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) to request the migration alert against Guadalupe Taddei Zavala. She said the party’s concern is not foreign investment but corrupt Morena officials who intend to invest abroad money they allegedly stole from Mexicans.
The lawmakers also said freezing bank accounts is not enough, noting that the same had occurred with Rocha Moya, Senator Inzunza and other officials they described as corrupt. State deputy Raúl Torres Guerrero said a complaint about corruption at the INE has already been filed with the FGR by the party’s president, Jorge Romero.
The PAN members said there was no longer any excuse for Ernestina Godoy and suggested that a migration alert would also be appropriate for Hernández Casillas, given his alleged close association with Taddei.
