Sasha Sokol and Luis de Llano legal dispute, Digi Mart USA News (Mexico City): Mexican singer Sasha Sokol on Thursday accused producer Luis de Llano of again failing to comply with a court ruling over child sexual abuse, according to a statement reported by EFE. Sokol said a public apology De Llano circulated does not match the text ordered by a court, which she said became final in January of this year.
In a video, De Llano, 81, acknowledged civil responsibility for moral damage and said his earlier statements about his relationship with Sokol were “unfortunate and inaccurate.” He offered the singer a public apology.
Sokol, a former member of the group Timbiriche, said the message leaves out essential elements of the court decision. She said the apology he is obligated to offer should expressly acknowledge that at age 14 she could not consent to a relationship with him, that he acted from a position of power, and that her parents were not accomplices.
She said none of this appears in the video he published.
Sokol also said De Llano is prohibited from publicly mentioning her except under the terms set by the court, and considers the publication a new violation. She announced that the law firm Zinser, Esponda y Gómez Mont will join her legal team in criminal matters after nearly five years of civil litigation, although she did not specify whether a new criminal complaint will be filed.
The statement comes two months after De Llano was arrested in Mexico City for failing to comply with two measures stemming from the ruling in Sokol’s favor. He remained about 24 hours in a temporary detention center and was released on September 3, after two 15-hour arrest orders were carried out, related to the failure to publish the apology and a summary of the ruling.
The litigation began in 2022, after De Llano spoke publicly about his relationship with Sokol when she was 14 and he was 40. In 2023, a judge ruled in the singer’s favor for moral damage.
In June 2025, Mexico’s Supreme Court Justice rejected an appeal filed by the producer, leaving the ruling final. The high court also established that civil claims for compensation for sexual violence suffered during childhood and adolescence are not subject to statute of limitations.
