Mexico gasoline prices November 5 2026, Digi Mart USA News (Mexico): Consumers in Mexico are checking fuel prices as the federal government continues a fiscal incentive on gasoline and diesel. According to El Heraldo de México, the Secretaría de Hacienda increased the fiscal stimulus on fuels this week, lowering the IEPS tax paid by drivers on each liter.
The federal government has paid 100% of the tax on diesel for seven consecutive weeks and has provided a complementary diesel subsidy for eight consecutive weeks, which fell from 2.63 to 2.60 pesos per liter. The measures are intended to contain the impact of fuel costs on inflation and prevent increases in the transport of goods and passengers.
For the week of October 31 to November 6, the government covers 3.24 pesos per liter of the 6.70 pesos IEPS on Magna, about 48.31% of the tax. On Premium, it covers 2.88 pesos of the 5.65 pesos IEPS, or 50.82%.
For diesel, the full 7.36 pesos IEPS is covered, plus the 2.60 pesos complementary support, for a total of 9.96 pesos per liter.
