November 5 Paris protest route Bastille-Concorde court ruling, Digi Mart USA News (Paris, France): The Paris administrative court has rejected an appeal by trade union organizations seeking to have the November 5 march route run between the Place de la Bastille and the Place de la Concorde, according to France Inter, which reported the decision on Wednesday evening.

Earlier in the day, the Paris police prefecture had banned the route initially proposed by the intersyndicale, the coalition of unions, for the November 5 demonstration between Bastille and Concorde, according to a prefectural order consulted by France Inter. The unions had challenged that decision before the administrative court.

The court’s ruling means the alternative route proposed by the police prefecture, between the Place de la République and the Place de la Nation, has been validated. The demonstration will take place along that path.
