Where Les Disparus des Argonnes Was Filmed in the Lyon Region

Les Disparus des Argonnes filming locations Lyon region: Genas, La Tour-de-Salvagny and Bully are the three communes confirmed for the France 2 miniseries, which also shot in Paris, while the Argonnes setting refers to the story, not the filming sites.

Les Disparus des Argonnes filming locations Lyon region, Digi Mart USA News (Lyon region, France): As Les Disparus des Argonnes launches on France 2 on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 9:10 p.m., three communes in the Lyon region have been identified as places where part of the series was filmed: Genas, La Tour-de-Salvagny and Bully.

These locations should be distinguished from the territory where the story takes place. The title points to the Argonnes, and the official summary of the first episode places the start of the plot in a village in the Argonnes.

In 1981, a young conscript, Gilles Veyrades, disappears when he was due to return home on leave. His mother, Jocelyne, rejects the idea of desertion and discovers that other families are also waiting for news of their sons.

That geography belongs to the story, adapted from the novel by Julie Peyr. It is not a list of where the cameras were set up.

Production information points mainly to the Lyon region for the places where the series was made.

Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Cinéma, a co-producer of the fiction, names three communes in its regional filming listing: Genas, cited among the places that hosted shooting; La Tour-de-Salvagny, also mentioned for the Lyon-area part of the shoot; and Bully, the third commune expressly named. The same list appears in its announcement accompanying the broadcast.

These references establish the crew’s presence in these communes, but they do not detail the addresses used or how scenes were distributed.

They also do not specify which house, barracks, forest or courthouse seen on screen was filmed in which town. The Lyon region represents part of the production work.

In its launch announcement for the shoot, France Télévisions said filming would take place from February 2 to March 27, 2026, in Paris and Lyon. The two communications complement each other: the broadcaster gives the planned schedule and the two production hubs, while the regional co-producer specifies the communes used around Lyon.

The list of Genas, La Tour-de-Salvagny and Bully should therefore not be presented as a complete inventory of all the miniseries’ sets. The four 52-minute episodes were directed by Safy Nebbou and produced by Studio 14 Films.

The adaptation is written by Julie Peyr, Safy Nebbou and Mary Arnaud. The series focuses mainly on one family and the gradual mobilization of the missing men’s relatives.

Part of the shoot is documented in Genas, La Tour-de-Salvagny and Bully in the Lyon region. France Télévisions also announced Paris among the filming locations.

The Argonnes setting in the story is not enough to pinpoint where the scenes were shot.

The broadcast is scheduled for Wednesdays, November 4 and 11, 2026, at 9:10 p.m. on France 2.

All four episodes have also been available in full on france.tv since October 30. Alix Poisson plays Jocelyne and Vincent Deniard plays her husband Fernand.

Anne Charrier plays Dominique. The cast also includes Félix Moati, Camille Claris, Cyril Lecomte, Aïssa Maïga and Mehdi Nebbou.
