France U19 squad for Euro U19 2027 qualifiers led by David Boly, Digi Mart USA News (Côtes-d’Armor, France): Jean-Luc Vannuchi has announced the 20 players selected for the second qualifying round of the Euro U19 2027 qualifiers, which will be held in Brittany with young PSG striker David Boly included in the squad.
A busy week for David Boly. On Tuesday, the PSG defender scored his first professional goal on the pitch at Villarreal.
On Wednesday, he was named in the list of 20 players selected by Jean-Luc Vannuchi for the second qualifying round of the Euro U19 2027 qualifiers.
France, placed in Group A1, will face Norway, the Republic of Ireland and Greece from November 11 to 17 in the Côtes-d’Armor. The squad will gather from Sunday, November 8.
Born in January 2009, David Boly is a year ahead of most of his teammates, who were born in 2008. The Paris full-back is enjoying a productive spell: he came on in Tuesday’s Champions League match and scored PSG’s sixth goal in a 0-6 win at Villarreal, at just 17 years old.
His name does not appear, however, in the U17 squad announced the same day for the World Cup in Qatar. He will be joined in the U19 squad by another Parisian, defender Lucas Batbedat.
Only one player plays abroad: goalkeeper Max-Edgar Chabot, at Manchester City. He will share the position with Lens player Ilan Jourdren, who recently impressed with RC Lens’ U19s against Como in the Youth League.
Olympique de Marseille has two players in the list, midfielder Milan Leccese and forward Antoine Valero. Lens, Nice, Toulouse, Rennes and Monaco are also each represented by two players.
The mini-tournament will be played in Guingamp, Pabu and Plaintel. The France matches are scheduled as follows, with the top three teams in each group advancing to the third qualifying round scheduled for spring, along with the seven group winners of League B.
The final phase of the Euro U19 will take place in the Czech Republic from June 18 to July 1, 2027. For David Boly and his teammates, the road to that tournament begins at home, in front of a Breton crowd.
