XV de France Oscar Jegou injury withdrawal Fiji match, Digi Mart USA News: The injury crisis facing the XV de France continues to deepen, with head coach Fabien Galthié now dealing with a last-minute withdrawal from Oscar Jegou, who was scheduled to start on the bench against Fiji.

Galthié had already chosen his starting fifteen for Saturday evening’s match in Lyon, kicking off at 9:10 p.m. Paul Boudehent, Cameron Woki and François Cros will form the back row, with Cros also named in the centre pairing according to the source.

Jegou was expected to come on during the game.

However, the Stade Rochelais back-rower suffered a rib injury and must withdraw from the first match of the Nations Championship. The setback is a blow for Les Bleus, who will not have the versatility Jegou offered off the bench.

Esteban Capilla appears best placed to take over the number 21 shirt. Like Jegou, he is capable of playing in the back line as well as the forwards.
