SNCF strike November 5 train forecasts, Digi Mart USA News: A trip planned for Thursday can still change until the last moment. The SNCF strike on November 5, 2026 remains announced at the national level, but the first regional forecasts are already available.

SNCF Connect says line-by-line details will be published Wednesday, November 4, before 5 p.m.

Travelers should not wait for a complete timetable to get informed. In Hauts-de-France, SNCF Voyageurs already forecasts one TER in two running during the strike day, according to France 3 Hauts-de-France.

For other lines, the SNCF still provides general information.

The interprofessional mobilization concerns Thursday, November 5. SNCF Connect announces disruptions across several categories of trains, but the official page does not indicate a total shutdown of the network.

TGV trains are announced as “slightly disrupted.” Intercités, TER, and Île-de-France trains and RER are announced as “disrupted.” These formulations remain qualitative forecasts: they give neither the national number of cancelled trains nor an overall traffic rate.

Actual traffic will therefore depend on each line and each departure. A national announcement is not enough to know whether a specific train will run.

SNCF Connect promises detailed forecasts on Wednesday, November 4, before 5 p.m. This deadline concerns the line-by-line information expected for the strike day.

However, some elements are already published in certain regions. In Hauts-de-France, the forecast of one TER in two applies only to that territory.

It cannot be extended to all French TER services, whose schedules and cancellations must be checked separately.

The SNCF therefore does not yet present, in the elements consulted, a complete national table of train operations. For travelers, the decisive point will be the update for the booked train, with its number and departure date.

For a trip planned on November 5, travelers should search for the relevant train on SNCF Connect using its number and departure date. This individual check shows whether the departure is maintained, modified, or cancelled.

It is also advisable to check traffic status again before traveling. A line announced as disrupted may keep some trains running, while a specific departure may be cancelled.

Caution is especially necessary for connections. If the first train runs but the next one is cancelled, the planned itinerary may become impossible, even when traffic is not interrupted along the entire line.

TGV and Intercités customers whose train is cancelled should be contacted by the SNCF. France 3 Hauts-de-France, citing SNCF Voyageurs, indicates they may benefit from a free exchange or refund.

This measure applies to trains cancelled as part of the movement. It does not mean that all tickets are automatically refundable or exchangeable at no cost if the planned train runs.

In Hauts-de-France, a gradual resumption is announced for the morning of Friday, November 6, 2026. This regional indication is not a forecast for the national network as a whole.

The SNCF strike on November 5 remains in place, with disruptions announced on TGV, Intercités, TER, and Île-de-France trains. Initial regional information already exists, but the complete line-by-line detail is still expected on November 4 before 5 p.m.

The sensible step is to check your train number on SNCF Connect and check again before departure. For now, the only quantified forecast available concerns Hauts-de-France: one TER in two.
