RC Lens Reportedly Eyeing Stade Brestois Striker Ludovic Ajorque for January Move

RC Lens transfer interest in Ludovic Ajorque: according to a French sports report, the 32-year-old Stade Brestois striker, whose contract expires in June, could be targeted by Lens in the January transfer window after an injury to Odsonne Édouard weakened the club's attack.

RC Lens transfer interest in Ludovic Ajorque, Digi Mart USA News: Ludovic Ajorque, a 32-year-old striker, is reportedly being targeted by RC Lens, according to a report from the French sports publication Mediasportif. The Stade Brestois forward has had a solid start to the season, and his contract with Brest runs until June, a situation that could make an early departure easier to arrange in the January transfer window.

Laurent Mazure has clearly expressed his wish to see Ajorque join RC Lens. According to him, the club should have recruited the striker during the summer transfer window.

His recommendation is based on a concrete need to strengthen Lens’ attack.

The injury to Odsonne Édouard could force the club’s hand, as additional attacking support would become necessary to cover the gap. The player’s size and experience are seen as major assets for stabilizing the front line.

The striker’s name has also reportedly circulated in connection with Olympique de Marseille and Stade Rennais. However, RC Lens has not officially confirmed any interest in the transfer, and the report describes the move as a suggestion from an observer rather than a concrete lead.

The report notes that the player’s physical presence is highly valued by coaches. Any transfer would depend on the timing of the winter window and on whether tactical needs grow.

For now, Ajorque remains with Brest, and no formal offer has been reported.
