The Secretariat of Public Security of the State of Mexico (SSEM) reported that surveillance and prevention activities concluded without major incidents. The operation was coordinated with authorities from all three levels of government.
Some 1,800 police officers took part, supported by 450 vehicles, 25 canine units and 25 mounted officers, along with technological tools to reinforce oversight at various points across the state.
November 1 and 2 saw the largest number of visitors to cemeteries, so video surveillance from the Command, Control, Communications, Computing and Quality Centers (C5) in Toluca and Ecatepec was intensified.
Foot patrols and motorized patrols were also carried out in markets, street markets, commercial establishments, recreational centers and residential areas, mainly in places with the highest concentration of people.
As part of the preventive strategy, tactical drones were used for aerial supervision. Traffic Police officers also carried out traffic closures and surveillance around cemeteries to facilitate mobility and prevent vehicle theft.
The SSEM reminded the public that the 911 emergency line and the 089 anonymous reporting line remain available 24 hours a day.
