LEGO Certified Store Montpellier Odysseum opening, Digi Mart USA News (Montpellier, France): The 18th LEGO Certified Store in France will open on Friday, November 27, in the Odysseum shopping center in Montpellier, according to the Midi Libre report. The store will occupy 175 square meters on level 1 of the mall, opposite the Darty store and next to the entrance of the future shopping gallery that will replace the former Géant Casino.

The store is operated in France by the Percassi group, which also manages the LEGO franchise in Italy, Portugal and Spain. The new shop will feature the brand’s latest concept combining games and interactive experiences using augmented reality, along with exclusive products and early access to certain pre-orders.

According to Odysseum’s website, the store will also host construction workshops and a Pick-a-Brick wall for replacement parts. Percassi says visitors will be able to create their own minifigures and try the LEGO Smart Play system, an interactive innovation that brings constructions to life.

The arrival of a LEGO Store in Montpellier had been planned for several months. LEGO store network director Rossana Mastrosimini said the company hopes the location will attract “families and brick fans from across the region.” She added that the opening during the year-end holidays promises a memorable experience for the community and for anyone who enjoys building, playing and letting their imagination run free.

LEGO currently operates ten stores directly in France and eighteen more under franchise, along with more than 3,500 points of sale. The toy company produces more than 31 billion bricks each year.
