Aurélie Rosan appointed France admissions director at Excelia, Digi Mart USA News: Recruitment is meant to be a first step in translating an educational project into practice, and that is the goal Excelia sets for its admissions strategy. Aurélie Rosan joins Excelia as France admissions and Île-de-France development director.
She has been in the post since November 2, 2026, and works across all of the group’s schools and programs, after ten years at ESSEC, HEC Paris and SKEMA Business School.
Rosan is responsible for defining and steering the national admissions strategy covering all of the group’s schools and programs. She must ensure the quality and fairness of selection procedures while supporting their evolution and that of the candidate experience.
Her role also has a territorial dimension: she is responsible for Excelia’s development and visibility in Île-de-France. This function is in addition to her national responsibilities for recruitment and competitive entrance examinations.
For Excelia Business School, two objectives have been identified: strengthening the school’s appeal to preparatory class students and welcoming students from varied backgrounds. The admissions strategy must also make the school’s educational project visible from the entrance examinations onward.
Rosan began her career in management schools at ESSEC Business School, where she served as admissions officer for the Grande École Program from 2016 to 2019. In 2019, she joined the Career Center at HEC Paris, where for two years she created training programs and coordinated events with partner companies.
Her duties also included supporting students in building their professional projects.
She then joined SKEMA Business School in 2021 as head of French and international competitive examinations. In 2023, she took responsibility for development, recruitment and admissions, a position she held until 2026.
Her experience thus covers several dimensions of student recruitment: managing examinations, the functioning of juries and welcoming eligible candidates.
Her training combines several disciplines. She holds a bachelor’s degree in applied foreign languages (English and Spanish), obtained in 2011 at the Université Paris Ouest Nanterre, and a master’s degree in journalism from the Université Grenoble Alpes, obtained in 2012.
In 2018, she earned a master’s degree in business administration, political negotiation and geopolitics from the École nationale d’administration.
The admissions work accompanies an educational project built on dialogue between management, engineering, communication and tourism. Excelia intends to draw on the expertise of its four schools while preserving the distinct disciplines of each.
This approach aims to familiarize students with cross-disciplinary perspectives and with carrying out projects in settings that combine several specialties. The educational model seeks in particular to train graduates able to understand ongoing transformations, make decisions under uncertainty and act in complex situations.
According to Nathalie Hector, director of Excelia Business School and academic director of the group, this ambition requires maintaining high standards while taking into account the diversity of profiles and ways of learning. Hector said she wants to rely on Rosan’s experience to translate this balance between rigor and diversity into the admissions strategy.
The group brings together Excelia Business School, Excelia Hotel & Tourism School, Excelia Communication School and ESAIP, its engineering school. Rosan’s new responsibilities therefore cover management programs as well as those in tourism, communication and engineering.
Excelia has 7,300 students across six campuses in La Rochelle, Tours, Orléans, Angers, Aix-en-Provence and Paris, and its network counts 53,000 graduates. At this scale, the new director will steer France admissions alongside her development mission in Île-de-France.
