Calvert-Lewin Carefully Optimistic for Leeds, Stach and Okafor Doubtful Ahead of Gameweek 10

Leeds United injury news ahead of Gameweek 10: Dominic Calvert-Lewin is carefully optimistic for Saturday after missing training, while Noah Okafor and Anton Stach remain major doubts, manager Daniel Farke confirms. Joe Rodon is back in full training, and James Justin and Gabriel Gudmundsson are fine.

Leeds United injury news ahead of Gameweek 10, Digi Mart USA News: Dominic Calvert-Lewin missed training on Thursday, but speaking to journalists, Leeds United manager Daniel Farke said he is “carefully optimistic” about the striker’s availability for Saturday’s match.

Noah Okafor and Anton Stach, who have both been troubled by recurring pain in recent weeks, are again considered “major doubts.” Farke said the team is still struggling a little in attack.

On Okafor, Farke said the forward missed the last game due to adductor problems and has been limited to individual work this week, without joining team training. “So, can’t really say if he’s available for the game,” he said.

Stach is dealing with a broken little toe. Farke said the midfielder has been doing individual rehab work only, and that the foot problem is why he was not in the starting line-up in recent weeks.

“I accept at the moment that he’s perhaps not ready to be in the starting line-up,” Farke said, adding that he hopes Stach can contribute from the bench.

Calvert-Lewin also had a setback with his foot and did not train with the squad on Thursday. Farke said he hopes the striker returns to training on Friday, which would make him available for the weekend.

There was better news on defender Joe Rodon, who is back in full team training after a hamstring injury. Farke said Rodon looked good and sharp, and that the club does not need to rush him back given the solid recent defensive performances, though he could be included in the squad if he feels ready.

Farke also noted that Rodon may receive minutes with the Welsh national team.

James Justin and Gabriel Gudmundsson, who both picked up knocks last weekend, are fine. Farke said both have been training with the squad and there is no problem.
