Mexico State Immediate Search Command Center for missing persons, Digi Mart USA News (Toluca, Mexico State): Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez has put into operation the Command Center of the National Immediate Search Alert in Mexico State, which will coordinate the institutions responsible for searching for missing persons, share information, and trigger actions from the first moment a case becomes known.
The initiative is part of the national strategy promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo to strengthen the search for missing persons through greater coordination among levels of government, the use of technological tools, and immediate action by authorities. The state government said the center reflects its commitment to one of the main demands of families of missing persons: that institutions act without delay, in a coordinated way, and keep track of search efforts.
Operational coordination will be led by the Missing Persons Search Commission of Mexico State (COBUPEM), a decentralized administrative body of the Legal Counsel’s Office, with the participation of the National Search Commission, the state Public Security Secretariat, the State Attorney General’s Office, the National Guard, and the Ministry of National Defense. The center will concentrate national alerts and disappearance reports known to participating institutions and establish direct communication among their liaisons.
To support these tasks, the center will have technological and video surveillance tools that allow monitoring, analysis, and exchange of information to speed up locating people and maintain ongoing follow-up of search actions. According to the source, this inter-institutional framework allows simultaneous actions while respecting each agency’s legal powers, without replacing the functions of authorities responsible for searches, public security, or criminal investigations.
Officials attending the launch included Horacio Duarte Olivares, Secretary General of Government; Cristóbal Castañeda Camarillo, Secretary of Public Security; Jesús George Zamora, Legal Counsel; Juan Carlos Valdés, Director of Analysis and Context of the National Search Commission; and Avelino Blanco Guido, Commissioner for the Search of Persons in Mexico State.
