Mexico City vehicle emissions verification centers closure November 16, 2026, Digi Mart USA News (Mexico City): The Secretariat of the Environment (SEDEMA) of Mexico City, through the General Directorate of Air Quality, reports that the Citizen Service Area for Vehicle Verification, the records office (Oficialía de Partes) of the General Directorate of Air Quality, and the city’s vehicle emissions verification centers will remain closed on November 16, 2026.
The announcement cites the Federal Labor Law, Article 74, Section VI; Article 25 of the Regulation of the Mexico City Environmental Law on Vehicle Verification, published in the Official Gazette of Mexico City No. 1861 on May 19, 2026; and an agreement suspending administrative procedure deadlines published in the Official Gazette No. 1790 Bis on January 30, 2026.
Activities will resume the following day during regular hours. The Citizen Service Area for Vehicle Verification and the records office of the General Directorate of Air Quality will operate from 9:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m., while the vehicle emissions verification centers will operate their regular schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
SEDEMA asks owners or legal possessors of motor vehicles registered in Mexico City to take the necessary steps in light of the suspension of activities on the date listed.
