Maya Casas Mexico archery, Digi Mart USA News (Querétaro, Mexico): Queretaro archer Maya Casas shared her excitement about representing Mexico and taking part in an international competition. She highlighted the chance to spend time with athletes from different countries and cultures, which she described as one of the most special experiences of her life.

The athlete recalled that representing her country was an especially emotional moment for her and her family. Her family, she said, remains proud of her achievements and has supported her throughout her preparation.

Casas said she came to archery on the recommendation of her mother, after she was unable to practice another discipline the family had initially chosen. After attending her first class, she became increasingly interested in the sport, eventually making it a fundamental part of her life.

Her training load grew over time. She went from training on weekday afternoons, Monday through Friday, to double sessions during the week and longer sessions on Saturdays.

Since she began, she has focused on the recurve discipline, which she found the sport she now uses to represent Mexico.
