Cyril Hanouna criticism of Emmanuel Macron’s strategic appointments, Digi Mart USA News (France): On W9 on November 2, 2026, Cyril Hanouna sharply criticized Emmanuel Macron over the appointment of close allies of the president to strategic positions whose mandates will extend well beyond the 2027 presidential election.

On the program Tout beau, tout neuf, Shana Loustau listed the officials placed in charge, including Richard Ferrand at the Constitutional Council until 2034, Emmanuel Moulin at the Banque de France until 2032, Marc Guillaume at the Council of State, and Amélie de Montchalin at the Court of Audit, potentially until 2054.

“That does not make Emmanuel Macron look good,” Hanouna said. “At some point, we must stop weighing France down.” He then denounced “magouille et compagnie,” a French expression for scheming and dealings.

The same appointments had previously been examined by Le Média en 4-4-2 in September. The publisher notes that Hanouna works on W9, a channel of the M6 group, in which Rodolphe Saadé holds an indirect stake.

Saadé, a businessman considered close to power, also owns BFM TV and RMC.

The publisher adds that Hanouna has publicly criticized the methods of a president whose departure is approaching. It also reports that he claimed Macron had personally asked him to get vaccinated against Covid-19 live on television to encourage the French to do the same, and that his refusal now presents him in a new light.

The article asks whether Hanouna has found a new freedom of tone. The information has not been independently verified.
