November, USA News: November has been named the UK’s most underrated month for a getaway, whether travellers are seeking a romantic break, time alone, or a chance to recharge with friends. Research shared by holiday letting agency holidaycottages.co.uk shows that just five per cent of holidays are taken during this month, which opens up peaceful countryside walks, cosy cottage stays, and early festive events.
Data indicates that more than half of November bookings, specifically 53.7 per cent, are made for one or two guests, highlighting its popularity among couples and solo travellers. Beyond enjoying autumn scenery, holidaymakers benefit from fewer crowds and an escape from everyday distractions.
Sarah Pring, PR manager for holidaycottages.co.uk, noted that November offers a quieter, atmospheric character before the festive rush begins, making it an ideal time to spend time in nature. She also noted that properties featuring hot tubs receive 60 per cent more bookings per person than those without, while accommodations with open fires or wood burners see a 27 per cent increase.
