Estado de México land value tables for 2027 fiscal year, Digi Mart USA News (Toluca, Mexico): The Congress of the State of Mexico has taken the first key step toward setting the fiscal map for next year. In committee work, the LXII Legislature approved the unit land and construction value tables for all 125 municipalities in the state for fiscal year 2027, a technical input that municipal governments use to determine property tax collection.
The approving opinion, read by legislator Javier Cruz Jaramillo (Morena) during a session presided over by fellow legislator Osvaldo Cortés Contreras, ratifies proposals submitted by 121 municipal governments. For these municipalities, an average adjustment of 5.6% to their cadastral values was authorized, aligned with technical criteria set by the Institute of Information and Geographic, Statistical and Cadastral Research of the State of Mexico (IGECEM).
Not all municipalities fared the same in the technical negotiations. Due to detected inconsistencies, Congress will issue a firm call to local governments that failed to comply, urging them to base future projections on official guidelines.
During the work, which included advice from Laura Balderas Rivera, director of Cadastre at IGECEM, the legislative body issued two central calls to the 125 municipal administrations. Committee members defended the resolution, arguing that the analysis was conducted under principles of objectivity, transparency and respect for municipal autonomy, and that an updated cadastre is a direct way to strengthen local finances and improve public services for citizens.
