Hoy No Circula Friday November 6 2026 vehicle restrictions Mexico City and Mexico State, Digi Mart USA News (Mexico City and Mexico State): Drivers planning to travel this Friday, November 6, 2026, should review the restrictions of the Hoy No Circula program, which operates in Mexico City and municipalities of Mexico State. The measure aims to reduce polluting emissions and determines which vehicles must remain off the road based on their windshield sticker color, license plate ending, and verification hologram.

For the first Friday of November, the calendar provides for a rest day for vehicles with a blue sticker, license plates ending in 9 and 0, and holograms 1 and 2. The restriction begins at 5:00 a.m.

and ends at 10:00 p.m., so drivers should take precautions to avoid penalties.

As of the afternoon of Thursday, November 5, the Megalopolis Environmental Commission (CAMe) had not announced an environmental contingency that would modify the program. Therefore, a Double Hoy No Circula is not planned, although authorities could update the measures if air quality conditions change.

Vehicles that must rest are those with verification hologram 1 or 2, a blue sticker, and plates ending in 9 or 0. The measure also includes restrictions for cars with plates from other entities that do not hold a verification recognized by the environmental authorities of the Valley of Mexico.

By contrast, vehicles with holograms 0 and 00 may circulate normally, as may electric and hybrid vehicles that meet the exemption requirements. These provisions reflect the program’s usual operation and could change only if authorities announce extraordinary measures.

Hoy No Circula applies in the 16 boroughs of Mexico City and the areas of Mexico State incorporated into the program, including conurbated municipalities and regions where environmental restrictions have been expanded. Drivers traveling between both entities should note that these provisions may also affect their usual routes.

Driving during restricted hours can result in financial penalties. In Mexico City, the fine for violating Hoy No Circula equals 20 to 30 times the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA), which represents approximately 2,346 to 3,519 pesos in 2026.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable provisions, the vehicle may also be taken to a impound lot.

Vehicles with out-of-state plates that do not hold a recognized hologram should pay особое attention to the restrictions, as they may face additional limitations during weekday mornings from Monday to Friday. Before leaving, it is advisable to check whether the vehicle is subject to the rest day corresponding to its plate ending or to other program measures.
