Marco Rubio considering leaving Trump administration after Republican midterm losses, Digi Mart USA News: U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is reportedly evaluating whether to leave the administration of President Donald Trump following the Republican Party’s defeat in the November 3 midterm elections.

According to reports from Bloomberg, however, he has not yet made a definitive decision about his political future.

Sources close to the matter, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the deliberations are internal, told Bloomberg that Rubio and his advisers are weighing different scenarios regarding his continued role in the government. The options reportedly include resigning from his posts as secretary of state and national security adviser, although no date has been set for any possible departure.

White House and State Department officials categorically denied that Rubio is considering stepping down. Dylan Johnson, undersecretary of state for global public affairs, told Bloomberg the report is “a totally false story, based on the testimony of anonymous sources” and described the information as “tabloid-worthy.”

White House spokesperson Beni Rae Harmony also stated that the report is false and called it “an invented deception spread by anonymous sources without any truthful information.” She argued that Rubio is “a tireless fighter for President Trump and the MAGA movement.”

Sources cited by Bloomberg suggest Rubio could return to the private sector with an eye toward a presidential candidacy after the 2028 election cycle, a possibility he also considered in 2016, when he ran against Donald Trump in the Republican presidential primaries that year.
