INE complaint to FGR over contract allocation, Digi Mart USA News (Mexico City): The draft complaint to be sent to Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office (FGR) over possible illegal conduct in the allocation of contracts by National Electoral Institute (INE) officials, including Guadalupe Taddei, is still being reviewed by the legal teams of the institute’s 10 council offices.
Speaking to reporters before Thursday’s General Council session, INE interim council president Blanca Cruz said the complaint was expected to be filed with the FGR the same day. “Our legal teams are working on the final details.
It is practically ready and we will not take long,” she said.
When asked whether it would be filed today, Cruz said it would depend on the legal teams. “The first drafts are ready, but they must be reviewed with full precision.
So we will be doing it shortly,” she told reporters.
Electoral councilor Arturo Castillo said the formal complaint, submitted by the institute’s legal department, had been reviewed by the offices of the various councilors since the previous night. He said he expected it to be sent the same day.
“It is a draft complaint, not a notice; it is a complaint formally speaking. The Legal Directorate took too long to present us the draft, but it has been in the councilors’ offices since last night.
I would hope it is approved as soon as possible and submitted,” he said.
