Paul Seixas Tour de France 2027 participation, Digi Mart USA News: The future of Paul Seixas has drawn considerable attention, including whether he will extend his contract with Decathlon CMA-CGM, a team whose sponsor also owns the RMC BFM media group, and whether he will take part in the next Tour de France.

Speaking on the Danish Eurosport podcast Radio Tour, Seixas’s teammate Tobias Lund Andresen offered comments about the coming season, specifically the Grand Boucle. The 24-year-old Dane, who has won three World Tour races this year and performed well in classics, said his chances of riding the Tour next year were extremely low.

“There is probably a 0% chance,” Andresen said, adding that in his view “Olav Kooij is the one who should take part.” He added: “I know Paul just said he wanted to be at the world championships, but I don’t see why he would not take part in the next Tour de France.”

Like Kooij, Andresen joined the French team at the start of the year. He believes the Dutch rider has priority in the sprints at the Tour, but does not want to be limited to the role of lead-out rider.

“It’s quite amusing to see all the discussion about my place in the team, whether I’d be allowed to race for myself or whether I should simply lead out Olav’s sprints. But things have always been very clear: we are two distinct sprinters, and each of us has our own lead-out train.”

Andresen’s programme appears to be set, as he is expected to race several classics early in the season, followed by the Giro d’Italia and the European championships. Whether Seixas will start the Giro d’Italia (May 8 to 30) alongside him next spring remains an open question.
