Celebrity Xcite Caribbean cruise bookings open for 2028 debut, Digi Mart USA News: Celebrity Cruises has opened bookings for the inaugural season of the Celebrity Xcite, the sixth ship in its Edge series, which will make its debut in the Caribbean in 2028. The ship is part of the largest Caribbean programme the company has ever deployed, with ten ships departing from four Florida ports for the 2028 and 2029 seasons, offering three-night mini-cruises and twelve-night itineraries.

The Edge series is expanding. Following the Edge, Apex, Beyond, Ascent and Xcel, Celebrity Cruises is preparing the arrival of the Celebrity Xcite, whose inaugural season is now on sale.

The ship will offer seven-night cruises from Miami.

Depending on the itinerary, ports of call include Saint Thomas, Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Martin and the Dominican Republic. Highlights include white-sand beaches, turquoise waters and natural attractions such as the well-known Baths on Virgin Gorda.

“The Caribbean is our passengers’ destination of choice,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises, who promised “an unprecedented presence” of Edge-series ships in the region for 2028 and 2029.

A first for the series: from November 2028 to March 2029, the Celebrity Beyond will offer nine three-night mini-cruises from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas. Starting in November 2026, the ship will also add new venues, including the Orange Peel Bar & Grille, Tacos del Sol and Bora.

The Celebrity Eclipse will also offer weekend getaways from Fort Lauderdale, and the Celebrity Summit will sail four- to five-night cruises from Miami. Some itineraries will call at Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau.

For travelers with more time, the Celebrity Beyond will also operate eight- to eleven-night itineraries to Saint Kitts and Nevis, Martinique, Barbados, Saint Lucia and Antigua, as well as six cruises to the Panama Canal.

The Celebrity Ascent will sail nine- to twelve-night itineraries to Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curaçao, Martinique or the Turks and Caicos Islands. The Celebrity Xcel, with its immersive The Bazaar space, will serve the ABC Islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao), Mexico, Honduras and Grand Cayman.

The Celebrity Silhouette will for the first time operate a full summer season in the southern Caribbean, with eight- to twelve-night cruises calling at Barbados, Martinique, Saint Lucia and Grenada. From October, it will switch to seven-night cruises from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Celebrity Reflection, which will be renovated in March 2027 with 13 new spaces including the Grand Plaza, will sail year-round from Fort Lauderdale. The Celebrity Apex will return to Port Canaveral, and the Celebrity Constellation will offer seven-night cruises from Tampa.

Cruises for winter 2028-2029 have been on sale since November 3, 2026. Summer 2028 cruises will go on sale from December 9, 2026.

Emmanuel Joly, director of Cruisepro, the brand’s general agent in France, said the diversity of itineraries and departure ports “offers just as many opportunities to attract new customer groups,” in close collaboration with travel agencies.
