Guanajuato hat exports 2026, Digi Mart USA News (Guanajuato, Mexico): During 2026, hats produced in Guanajuato reached an export value of $35 million, an increase of 40.9% compared with the same period of the previous year, according to data from the Coordinadora de Fomento al Comercio Exterior (COFOCE).
The hat industry contributed to growth in the state’s fashion sector, which recorded international sales of $573 million between January and June 2026, equivalent to annual growth of 19.3%. Guanajuato’s fashion industry currently has 591 exporting companies with a presence in 59 countries.
Among the region’s hat producers, the Pueblos del Rincón stand out. During 2026, the municipality of San Francisco del Rincón generated $31 million in fashion-sector exports, while Purísima del Rincón added $22 million.
According to COFOCE, hat-sector companies generate 98 direct jobs and directly and indirectly benefit about 145 families in the region.
As part of follow-up to business meetings in the fashion and footwear sector, COFOCE will provide technical advice and connect local companies with international buyers. The aim is to consolidate purchase intentions and promote the participation of Guanajuato producers in business agendas and specialized trade fairs abroad.
